Sorting
We receive food from the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, as well as local grocery stores. Volunteers help us sort through it all, working together to keep our warehouse organized and items ready to stock on our shopping floor.

Stocking
Keeping our shelves full and neat with labels facing out helps provide dignity to our guests as they choose their groceries. We need help stocking before and during shopping sessions.

Shopping
As a shopping assistant, you have an opportunity to know our guests, hear their stories, and provide meaningful conversation as you shop with them. You'll have the shopping list, bag the groceries as you go, and load the bags into the car for your guest.

Intake
This position requires special training from our Program Manager, so it requires a minimum commitment of volunteering twice a month for 4 months. Intake volunteers check guests in on the computer, answer questions they have, and listen to their stories. If you are interested in this position, send an email to the address below.

Retail Recovery
Our retail recovery drivers fill spots on our morning routes to local grocery stores to pick up items that are being donated to Our Daily Bread. Many drivers use their personal vehicles. To find out availability in this program, send our Operations Manager an email.

Salon
A unique service that we are able to offer to our guests is a free haircut because of licensed barbers and cosmetologists who give their time. If you are trained and would like to take part in the Salon at Our Daily Bread, please email our Program Manager.

Garden
Garden volunteers take part in all aspects of growing food and flowers for our guests to harvest. From sowing seeds to weeding, watering, or pruning, garden volunteers are ready to help keep our beautiful garden looking healthy and well. To find out more about volunteer opportunities in the garden, send our Garden Manager an email!
